As a Field Service Technician based in Whangarei, you'll provide maintenance, diagnostics and repair services on Komatsu equipment across customer sites throughout the Northland region. You'll work autonomously in the field, troubleshooting complex mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems while delivering exceptional customer support.
This role offers variety, independence and the opportunity to work on industry-leading equipment. You'll be supported by experienced technical teams, advanced OEM systems and ongoing training to help you continue developing your skills and career.
Role Located: Whangarei
Roster: Monday to Friday – 7:30am to 4:00pm (Flexible)

What we are looking for:
- Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic (or overseas equivalent).
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting capability across heavy mobile equipment.
- Experience performing maintenance, repairs and fault finding on hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems.
- Ability to test, adjust and monitor machine operating systems using technical literature and specialised tooling
- Strong commitment to safety and delivering high-quality customer service.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities and complete accurate service documentation and reports.
- Sound computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
- Class 1 driver's licence (Class 2 preferred).
- Strong communication skills and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
- Experience working on Komatsu equipment or similar OEM machinery will be highly regarded.
