Our 4-year Machinist Apprenticeship gives you hands-on experience manufacturing precision components using advanced machining equipment, while completing a Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Machining) (MEM30219).

About the qualification
The MEM30219 Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Machining) is a nationally recognised Australian qualification. It prepares individuals with comprehensive training in fitting, machining, and general engineering trade skills, preparing them to work on componentry associated with heavy industry, mining, and construction machinery.
This qualification develops skills in:

Interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Perform precision machining using manual lathes, milling machines, and drilling equipment.

Operate CNC machinery and basic programming.

Manufacture, modify, and repair mechanical components.
