🚨 Expression of Interest: RTO Technical Trainers 🚨
📍Welshpool WA and Sherwood QLD
Are you ready to take the next step in your career or pivot toward a path where your technical skills and passion for helping others can truly shine?
We’re looking for RTO Technical Trainers to join Komatsu’s Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and help upskill and build capability through nationally recognised qualifications. Whether you’re an experienced trainer or a technically skilled professional ready to make a meaningful shift into a training-focused role, we want to hear from you.
The Opportunity:
A day in the life of a RTO Technical Trainer at Komatsu, will see you deliver a combination of theory and practical sessions, often blending classroom instruction with simulated or real-world equipment-based tasks. Depending on the course, this might include diagnostics, servicing procedures, machine operation, or systems training. You’ll guide Apprentices, Tradespeople, and upskill participants through nationally recognised qualifications.
After training sessions, trainers conduct assessments both formative and summative, ensuring learners meet the competency requirements of their training packages. Trainers provide feedback, one-on-one coaching, and additional support where needed to keep learners on track. You may also work on updating training resources, logging student progress, or contributing to course development.
About You:
- Have at least five years’ post-trade experience working with mobile plant equipment
- Have a genuine passion for mentoring and developing the next generation of tradespeople
- Are a confident communicator who enjoys helping others learn
- Are looking for a career shift into training, coaching, or learning and development
- Are curious, collaborative, and committed to making knowledge accessible
- A Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) is desirable; however, if you don’t currently hold this qualification, Komatsu will support you in achieving it.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Word and PowerPoint, is essential for preparing and delivering engaging training materials.
We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds whether you’re an engineer, technician, support specialist, analyst, or someone with hands-on technical experience looking to make a difference in a new way.
Why join Komatsu’s RTO team?
- Be part of a supportive and inclusive team that values your growth and development
