The Opportunity:

Technician – Workshop Waikato

We are seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to perform the role of Technician – Workshop.

You be responsible for maintenance and repair our full range of Construction & Utility equipment, provide mentoring and guidance for workshop based servicing,  responsible for maintenance of Used and Rental equipment.

 

We are on the search for someone who has strong hydraulic fault-finding skills and enjoys supporting, mentoring and leading others to represent an OEM in every customer interaction.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Predominately workshop-based with ability to cover field service breakdowns and servicing as required (tool of trade vehicle included)
  • Work closely with the UE/Rental SSC and L/H to deliver to high standard giving our customers an unparalleled customer experience (reporting to branch supervisor)
  • Ability to mentor apprentices and guide technicians with repairs and servicing in a workshop-based environment
  • Generate extensive accurate reports on rental & used equipment
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Attention to detail QA pre delivery of used and rental equipment
  • Experience with AX an advantage

 

 

Roster: Monday to Friday

 

Role Located: Waikato Region

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent
  • Class 1 driver’s licence, Class 2 (heavy transport) preferable
  • Strong hydraulics fault finding skills
  • Proficient in the maintenance and repair of OEM equipment
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good understanding of computer systems and Microsoft Office 
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
