Are you ready for your next challenge with Komatsu? We're seeking a Resident Field Service Technician based out of Chinchilla, supporting the Western Region up to Roma. This role will focus on field-based service and support for mining and construction customers, playing a critical part in maintaining the performance and reliability of Komatsu machinery in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
As part of our professional Field Service team, you will contribute to high levels of safety, quality, and efficiency by:
- Diagnosing and repairing Komatsu equipment across various machine groups.
- Carrying out testing and adjusting of machine operating and monitoring systems using appropriate tools and resources.
- Supporting major site-based equipment maintenance projects.
- Preparing professional technical and service reports using Microsoft Office applications.
- Ensuring punctuality and efficient service reporting using standard templates and Komatsu systems.
- Coordinating departmental reporting requirements including TSI and warranty claim processes.
- Maintaining accurate and timely time sheet inputs via Electronic Time Capture (ETC).
Skills and Competencies Required:
- Demonstrated competence in required core technical skill sets.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of Komatsu equipment, systems and diagnostics.
- Familiarity with Komatsu software platforms such as Dynamics, LinkOne, and SMAP.
- Ability to mentor and transfer knowledge to lower-level technicians (K4 and below).
- Capability to follow job scopes and critical paths to ensure job completion and customer satisfaction.
- Introductory proficiency in:
- Microsoft Windows XP
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
