The Opportunity:

Komatsu is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Maintenance Planners and Schedulers interested in supporting a major heavy-equipment maintenance operation in Central Queensland.

You'll sit at the centre of the maintenance operation, coordinating the people, parts, resources and timing required to keep a large mobile equipment fleet performing.

From scheduled servicing and component change-outs through to breakdowns and major maintenance events, you'll make sure the right resources are ready at the right time.

You'll take ownership of

• Short and long-term maintenance planning and scheduling.
• Planned and unplanned maintenance requirements.
• Labour, parts, subcontractors and customer-supplied resources.
• Backlog and defect management.
• Component and overhaul planning.
• Equipment performance and maintenance data.
• Maintenance KPIs and reporting.
• Parts procurement and technical coordination.
• Continuous improvement of maintenance performance.

You'll work closely with trades, supervisors, parts, technical teams and the customer, so you'll need to be someone who communicates well and isn't afraid to chase what's needed to keep the plan moving.

We're keen to hear from people with:

• Significant maintenance planning/scheduling experience within mining or heavy mobile equipment, or a relevant heavy-equipment trade background.
• Strong understanding of mobile plant maintenance.
• Confidence working with CMMS and maintenance systems.
• Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to understand maintenance costs and budgets.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach.
• Experience with large haul trucks, excavators and loaders would be highly regarded.
