Heavy Equipment Technician

 

Roster: Monday to Friday, with plenty of overtime opportunities plus RDOs accrued each Month
Role Locations: Melbourne, VIC

The Opportunity:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for two experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians to join the Komatsu Forklifts team in Melbourne, VIC.

You will be required to provide skilful and efficient maintenance and repair of Komatsu forklifts core and non-core products, and through your efforts, contribute to a professional team environment by ensuring high levels of safety, quality and efficiency.

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Maintain a professional level of customer service.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records of work orders & timesheets
  • Diagnose and determine faults on our equipment
  • Perform routine maintenance on our equipment
  • Complete major rebuilds and repairs as required
  • Ability to work unsupervised in a time critical environment

 

Qualification, Requirements & Skills

  • A proven high level of customer service
  • Current Drivers Licence
  • Relevant Heavy Vehicle trade qualifications
  • Prior servicing, mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic experience
  • Time management skills
  • Demonstrate an understanding of industry safety protocols
  • Strong diagnostic and fault finding skills
  • Ability to operate a forklift truck
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Experience with container handling equipment – Desirable
