The Opportunity:
This role leads a key section of the warehouse, driving team performance and ensuring daily operations run safely, efficiently, and in line with business targets. Working alongside management, it keeps the warehouse moving maintaining productivity, accuracy, and compliance. As a hands-on leader, the role develops team capability, lifts standards, and builds a strong safety-first culture. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily warehouse operations, including inbound and outbound activities (receipting, put-away, picking, packing, and dispatch), ensuring efficient material flow, coordinated transport movements, and achievement of operational performance targets.
- Maintain accurate stock control processes including stock movements, system updates, cycle counts, and periodic stocktakes.
- Ensure a safe, compliant, and well‑maintained work environment by enforcing WHS standards, conducting risk assessments, and upholding equipment, hazardous materials, and manual-handling procedures.
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse team members, including training, performance monitoring, time/attendance oversight, and supporting talent processes.
- Foster strong communication and teamwork by clearly setting priorities, providing regular updates, and promoting respectful, fair, and collaborative workplace behaviours.
- Liaise effectively with customers, suppliers, and transport partners to support smooth distribution operations and resolve operational issues promptly.
- Drive continuous improvement through identifying system/process enhancements, reducing waste, and supporting future capacity planning.

What we are looking for:
- Proven experience in senior warehouse operations, including inventory control, stock management, dispatch, and use of warehouse management systems.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and support a team, with strong people management capability.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic team and contribute to or lead cross‑functional activities.
- Strong computer literacy, including keyboard proficiency and experience using warehouse or inventory systems.
- Relevant qualifications such as Certificate IV in Frontline Leadership, Certificate IV in Logistics/Warehousing, or a Diploma in Frontline Management (or equivalent experience).
- Mandatory valid LF Forklift licence and/or LO Order Picker licence.
- Knowledge of MPI Transitional Facility requirements, including experience as a Transitional Facility Operator (TFO) or Accredited Person (AP), will be highly regarded.
