The Opportunity:


At Komatsu, we put people at the centre of everything we do.  We’re seeking a National Sales Manager to lead our sales performance across new equipment, used equipment and rental within our utility, construction and mining machinery portfolio.

This is a pivotal national leadership role where you’ll shape sales strategy, drive sustainable growth and strengthen customer relationships across New Zealand. Leading a nationwide team of sales professionals, you’ll focus on building capability, alignment and engagement, while delivering strong commercial outcomes and a consistent, customer‑focused sales approach.


What You’ll Do:

You’ll develop and execute national sales plans, mentor and support regional teams, and build strong partnerships with customers and industry stakeholders.  Working closely with Service, PDI and Technical Service teams, you’ll help ensure seamless delivery and a strong market presence.  You’ll also oversee major account negotiations, stay across market and competitor trends, and provide clear insights into performance, forecasting and pipeline activity.W


What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a leader with strong sales experience and commercial acumen, someone who enjoys coaching others and building high‑performing, engaged teams. You’ll be comfortable managing complex negotiations, engaging senior stakeholders and using CRM and data‑driven insights to inform decisions. Experience in the New Zealand machinery or related industrial markets is beneficial, along with a leadership style that reflects a people‑first culture.
