This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering impactful marketing initiatives across a diverse business, helping strengthen how Komatsu connects with customers, employees and the wider New Zealand market.

We are looking for a Marketing Lead to join our Auckland-based team and become the key marketing representative for Komatsu New Zealand.

Reporting to the People, Culture and Marketing Manager NZ, you'll be responsible for leading local marketing execution, adapting initiatives to the New Zealand market, and ensuring alignment with the broader Oceania marketing strategy. You'll work closely with the wider Oceania Marketing team to bring campaigns and initiatives to life while responding to the unique needs of the New Zealand business.

This is a broad, hands-on role spanning equipment sales, rental, parts, service and technology. You'll have the opportunity to contribute across campaigns, digital marketing, communications, customer engagement, events, sponsorships and brand activity, all while being part of a well-established global organisation.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Take ownership and responsibility for CRM data, marketing campaign building and execution
  • Develop and execute marketing campaigns aligned to NZ business priorities.
  • Manage NZ website content, social media and digital marketing activity.
  • Coordinate customer communications, content, PR, events and trade shows.
  • Develop customer stories and content with sales teams, customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage agencies, suppliers, sponsorships and marketing partners.
  • Track campaign performance, customer engagement and ROI to identify opportunities.
  • Monitor market trends, customer insights and competitor activity to inform local activity.

What We Are Looking For

We’re looking for an experienced marketer who enjoys variety, takes ownership and can move comfortably between strategy and getting the work done.

You will ideally bring:

  • 5–7 years’ experience in marketing, communications or a related discipline.
  • Experience delivering integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Experience across website content, social media and digital advertising.
  • Experience with CRM, customer communications and marketing data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • The confidence to work autonomously and build relationships across a business.
