Our 4-year Electrical Fitter Apprenticeship gives you hands-on experience assembling, maintaining, and repairing electrical components on some of the world’s most advanced heavy equipment, while completing a Certificate III in Electrical Fitting Trade (UEE33020).
You’ll learn from industry experts, train in world-class facilities, and be supported every step of the way.

About the qualification
The UEE33020 Certificate III in Electrical Fitting is a nationally recognised Australian qualification.
It prepares individuals to assemble, install, test and maintain electrical components.
This qualification develops skills in:

Assembling electrical motors, generators and transformers.

Installing and maintaining control systems.

Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in machinery components.

Interpreting technical drawings, schematics and specifications.

Conducting testing, fault finding and preventative maintenance.

Applying workplace health and safety and regulatory requirements.
The role of an Electrical Fitter at Komatsu involves working on assembling, fitting, and repairing electrical plant and machinery. This is a workshop-based role that enables you to troubleshoot and solve problems along AC and DC circuits, work with single and three-phase low voltage machines, terminate cables and cords, and connect electrical control circuits.
Holders of this qualification demonstrate strong technical aptitude, attention to detail and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship, making them well suited to workshop roles within an industrial environment.
