Our 4-year High Voltage (HV) Electrician Apprenticeship gives you hands-on experience working with high-voltage electrical systems on some of the world’s most advanced mining and heavy equipment, while completing a Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820)

 

You’ll learn from industry experts, train in world-class facilities, and be supported every step of the way.

About the qualification

The UEE30820 Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician is a nationally recognised Australian qualification.  It provides the skills and knowledge required to work as a licensed Electrician.  

 

This qualification develops skills in:   

  • Install, test and maintain electrical wiring systems and equipment on mobile plant.   
  • Diagnose and repair electrical faults on mobile plant.  
  • Interpret electrical drawings, plans and specifications.  
  • Work effectively within WHS and regulatory frameworks. 

  

The role of an Electrotechnology Electrician at Komatsu involves servicing, diagnosing and repairing our electric drive products including our haul trucks, wheel loaders and shovels.  

 

This role may require working in remote locations on customer mine sites towards the end of the 4-year apprenticeship.  

    

Holders of this qualification demonstrate strong technical capability, fault-finding skills and strong attention to safety and compliance.
