Komatsu is on the hunt for a Resident Field Service Technician to support customers across the Canberra region. You'll be the go-to expert keeping some of Australia's hardest-working machines up and running.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Diagnosing, servicing and repairing Komatsu equipment.
  • Responding to breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance.
  • Using advanced diagnostics to solve mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Building strong customer relationships through exceptional service.
  • Completing service reports and documentation.
  • Working safely while delivering quality workmanship every time.

 

Role Located: Canberra, NSW

 

Shift: Day shift, Monday to Friday with weekend O/T – 7:30am, to 4pm

 

Remuneration: Rate + Super + Tool of trade + allowances

What we are looking for:

  • Mobile Plant Mechanic Trade Certificate (Cert 3 Mobile Plant) complimented by your mechanical fitter qual (HD Mechanic/Fitter).
  • OEM experience, preferably with Komatsu equipment, and field service exposure, including breakdowns and diagnostics, will also be highly regarded within the construction and mining sector. 
  • A Valid driver’s Licence.
  • Auto Electrical experience, qualifications, and diagnostic skills will be highly regarded.
  • Working at heights qualification would be great but not crucial.
  • Ability to follow required job scope & critical path.
  • Safety focused mindset is paramount.
  • Good understanding of computer systems and Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
