The Opportunity:

 

Are you an experienced Boilermaker looking for the benefits of a mining-style roster while staying home every night? 

 

Komatsu is seeking skilled Boilermakers to join our Remanufacturing team in Welshpool on a 7:7 roster. In this role, you will be responsible for completing repairs and remanufacturing of Komatsu OEM components, ensuring all work is completed to the highest engineering and repair standards. 

 

You'll work on a diverse range of components, including: 

 

  • Hydraulic cylinders 
  • Spindles 
  • Wheel motors 
  • Powertrain assemblies 

 

Our 7:7 roster offers the flexibility and work-life balance of a mining roster, without the need to travel or work away from home. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Repair and remanufacture Komatsu OEM components to the highest standard. 
  • Complete jobs safely, efficiently, and in line with OEM and quality requirements. 
  • Conduct job planning, estimations, and maintain accurate documentation. 
  • Source parts and manage tooling to support workshop productivity. 
  • Identify and resolve quality issues while ensuring compliance with Komatsu's Quality Management System. 
  • Support and mentor apprentices and tradespeople through on-the-job training. 
  • Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and professionalism. 

 

Potential Annual Earnings: $153,000  

Roster’s available: 7:7 — Day shift only 

Role Located: Welshpool, WA

 

What we are looking for:

 

  • Trade qualification as a Boilermaker with relevant industry experience. 
  • Current welding certifications. 
  • Valid C Class Driver's Licence. 
  • High Risk licences (or the ability to obtain), including Dogging, Rigging,  
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills. 
  • Basic computer literacy. 
  • Commitment to safety, including hazard identification and risk assessment processes. 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and ongoing drug & alcohol testing.
