The Opportunity
Our Welshpool team is seeking a Lead Engineer – Quality to join our regional engineering team.
You will support quality activities across the Western Region, focusing on PDI and Reman operations, and play a key part in investigating non-conformances, warranty claims, and driving corrective actions to improve product and process quality.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include root cause analysis, auditing suppliers and processes, and collaborating closely with engineering and workshop teams to implement effective solutions.
You will also contribute to maintaining and improving our ISO 9001 quality management system and support continuous improvement initiatives.
We’re looking for a technically skilled, hands-on engineer with a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent problem-solving abilities, and some leadership experience to help guide and influence the quality team as well as proactively working across departments and with a variety of stakeholders to actively promote quality within the business.
Role Located: Welshpool – free onsite parking

What we are looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent technical qualification
- Proven experience in quality engineering within a manufacturing or engineering environment
- Strong understanding of root cause analysis, failure investigation, and corrective action implementation
- Hands-on technical expertise with mechanical systems and manufacturing processes
- Experience conducting audits and reviewing quality management systems (ISO 9001 knowledge advantageous)
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and influence a technical team
- Ability to think critically about problems, and identify underlying gaps in a variety of business processes including Sales, Design, Procurement, Operations, and Quality Control
