The Opportunity

Want to be home every night? We have a vacancy for a Gold Coast based Field Service Technician to join our team. As a Field Service Technician, you will be required to travel to customer sites to provide competent and efficient service, maintenance, and repair of Komatsu customer equipment. This role will work semi-autonomous and will have to manage and take responsibility for their workload and scheduling of jobs.

 

Roster:           Monday - Friday day shift 7am – 4pm (regular overtime is often available)

                        On-call one week per month

 

Location:        Home based – servicing the Gold Coast metro and greater Gold Coast region

Pay rate:         $50.46 - $52.94 (dependant on experience) + on call allowance + overtime

What you'll be doing:

  • Machine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Produce machine condition and technical reports.
  • Managing incoming and outgoing Rental machines in accordance with Rental SLA
  • Ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of technical understanding of the design & function of Komatsu equipment. 
  • Ensuring quality of work is aligned with Komatsu documentation and specifications.
  • Workmanship is completed to a professional standard and in a timely manner. 
  • Liaise with the customer where appropriate and report on the customer interaction.  
  • Ensure that timesheets, service reports and relevant documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner. 

What you'll bring:

  • Trade qualification in Heavy Commercial Vehicle and/or Mobile Plant (essential)
  • Must have experience in the service or repair of Mobile Plant Equipment (essential)
  • Current MR Licence is essential
  • Previous experience with Komatsu equipment would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills for both Internal and External customers
  • An excellent understanding and commitment to safety and environment
  • Ability to work remotely and with minimal Supervision.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge/skills
