The Opportunity

We are seeking a experience Senior Warehouse Operator to base at our Wacol Distribution Centre to provide support to the Parts logistics business.Reporting to the Supervisors/Leading Hands, the Senior Warehouse operator is responsible for the full scope of warehouse operational activities including receiving and sorting,  put away and picking, packing and dispatch as well as counting and other administrative duties.

 

Roster: Monday to Friday (6am – 2pm)

 

Role Located:  Wacol

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting the Shift Supervisor by understanding the shift/daily priorities and ensuring the broader team are aligned with their activities.
  • Coordinate Team members within your area of responsibility to achieve team output requirements
  • Taking the lead to ensure inventory is managed well within the system, including accuracy and relevant compliance documentation has been completed.
  • Store and pack goods and materials in accordance with appropriate procedures and regulations.
  • Prepare and receipt appropriate documentation.
  • Allocate and retrieve goods as directed.
  • Undertake basic computer operation to complete assigned administrative tasks.
  • Complete stock checks as directed.
  • Keep your workstation and the broader work environment, including equipment, in a clean, safe and working order.
  • Report all incidents relevant to your duties.Undertakes assigned duties proactively and with warehouse standards.
  • Maintain, be active and proactive with the responsibilities of maintaining a safe workplace with you and your team members.
  • Mentor Warehouse Operators and ensure work is performed accurately, timely and safely

What we are looking for:

  • Demonstrated experience/skills as a warehouse operator, and/or Warehouse inventory/dispatch person.
  • Able to co-ordinate work in a team environment under limited supervision.
  • Understanding of Inventory Control, Stock Management
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to always communicate with internal/ external contacts of all levels.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic team environment.Positive demeanour and willingness to always co-operate.
  • General computer skills/knowledge
  • Heavy machinery parts knowledge advantageous
  • Some basic mathematical, statistical, and analytical skills
  • Must have good physical health and strength, manual handling will be large portion of daily activity

 

Qualifications

  • Valid LF Forklift or LO Order Picker license would be beneficial.
