The Opportunity:
Are you a hands‑on leader who thrives in a busy, high‑performing workshop?
We’re looking for a Leading Hand to join our Rental workshop in Sherwood, supporting a team of 15 skilled technicians and keeping our rental fleet operating at its best.
This role blends on‑the-tools mechanical work with day‑to‑day leadership. You’ll allocate jobs, mentor apprentices, uphold safety and quality standards, and keep workflow moving across a fast‑paced rental operation.
Whether your background is mobile plant, heavy diesel, trucks, trailers or road transport, your mechanical capability and leadership mindset are what matter most. Komatsu will support you to grow your OEM experience and step up in your career.

Choose your Roster:
Monday to Friday – 6:00am to 3:00pm with a Fortnightly RDO
OR
Compressed work week 4:3 working 6:00am to 4:00pm
Hourly Rate: $52.94 p/h base + overtime + leading hand allowance + super
Role Located: Sherwood, QLD

What we are looking for:
- Cert 3 Mobile Plant Technology, Heavy Commercial (Road Transport) or equivalent
- Proven experience in a similar workshop leading hand or senior fitter role
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide a young team and support apprentices
- Technical expertise in construction and mining equipment, including diagnostics, repairs and rebuilds
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and promoting safe work practices in a busy workshop environment
- C class driver's licence
