The Opportunity:
As an Operator Proficiency Trainer, you will play a crucial role in developing skilled and safe heavy equipment operators.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing comprehensive operator training for various Komatsu equipment.
- Developing tailored instruction that meets specific site and machinery needs.
- Conducting on-site coaching and mentoring.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and promoting safe practices.
- Monitoring and evaluating Operator's performance.
- Maintaining accurate training records and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in training.
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.
- Regularly traveling to remote sites, working in diverse and challenging conditions.
Roster: Monday to Friday (Note: Travel to remote locations will involve variations to this)
Hours: Standard business hours (Note: This may vary due to travel and site requirements).
Role Located: Brisbane, QLD or Perth, WA

What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience operating heavy mining equipment with experience with:
- electric and mechanical drive dump trucks,
- electric and mechanical drive wheel loaders,
- mining class excavators (required),
- hydraulic shovels,
- track dozers, and graders
- Demonstrated experience in delivering formal training programs and coaching, ideally within the mining or heavy machinery industries.
- Sound knowledge of mining safety standards, hazard identification, and risk management practices.
- Current First Aid and CPR certification is desirable.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in using training management systems and digital tools.
- Current RII or equivalent operator qualifications.
- TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or willingness to obtain).
