The Opportunity

Based at our Sherwood branch, we are currently seeking a Leading Hand for Rental Service to supervise the daily activities associated with the repairs/preparation/servicing/maintenance of machines in Sherwood for Rental and Remarketing.

 

Key Duties:

  • To oversee and co-ordinate workshop activities for Rental/Remarketing, ensuring that the SLA for Rental and Remarketing is delivered upon and that all maintenance and repair obligations are performed within agreed timeframes.
  • To ensure that all estimates for repairs and variations comply with the SLA for Rental and Remarketing.
  • Assist with the coordination of Remarketing & despatch for machines in communication with the Remarketing Administrator.
  • To perform quality inspection of all machines upon completion by utilising process control documents ensuring that all required paperwork is completed and stored with machine where applicable.
  • Review final job dockets for Remarketing activities and communicate costs back prior to final invoicing (All jobs must have clear description/explanation of repairs completed and be invoiced within 3 days of completion).
  • To provide daily/weekly reports so that the SLA can be effectively measured. 
  • Set an example of commitment to safety & monitor safe operation of the Sherwood workshop by conducting quarterly feel safety audits in partnership with SEQ HSE Manager.
  • Coordinate and oversee workshop work, ensuring that appropriate quality & productivity levels are maintained, by having a daily presence with in the workshop.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong and professional communication skills
  • Positive, ethical work attitude, dependable and reliable
  • Knowledge of the heavy equipment business and products.
  • Experience using Estimate templates and systems
  • Strong understanding of Earthmoving machinery
  • Thorough knowledge of IT systems and Microsoft products, strong understanding of maintenance planning and parts interpreting software

 Qualifications

  • Certificate III Diesel Fitter/Diesel Mechanic or similar
