Technician - Lineboring

The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking an experienced Technician – Lineboring to join our Customer Support team in Newman.
In this role, you will contribute to a professional field service team, ensuring high levels of safety, quality and efficiency. You will be responsible for line boring, welding and machining, providing accurate repair scopes and supporting major site-based equipment maintenance projects.
You will also work closely with Service Supervisors, Parts Staff, other Technicians, Tech Services and customers to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Roster: Choose between 2weeks on 1 week off, OR 2 weeks on 2 weeks off.
Remuneration: Earn up to $230,000 + super. Based on a 2:1 roster
Role Located: Newman, WA - FIFO from Perth

What we are looking for:
- Qualified Fitter Machinist/Boilermaker
- Demonstrated competency using Hoffman and Triangle line boring equipment including small and large facing heads.
- Experience with stick and mig welding techniques for pad welding and face repairs.
- Ability to accurately measure and report circumferences on mobile equipment and reference specifications in OEM shop manuals
- Ability to read and understand technical drawing
- Strong technical understanding of the design and function of heavy equipment
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Good understanding of computer systems and Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- MR classification driver's licence
- Ability to coordinate major site-based equipment maintenance projects
- Ability to complete accurate service reporting, timesheets and job documentation
- Ability to follow required job scopes and critical paths
