The Opportunity

Our Newman Branch in the Pilbara is seeking an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to support maintenance operations on WA1200 and EWL 1850-3 Loaders.
 
You’ll be responsible for diagnostics, repairs, and site-based maintenance projects, ensuring Komatsu equipment performs safely and reliably.
 
This site-based role will operate from our client’s mining camp in the Pilbara.
 
Annualised Wages: Up to $230,000 + super (Based on 2:1 roster)
Rosters Available: 8:6 & 2:1 (FIFO ex Perth or Residential)
Role Location: Newman, WA
 
Your Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Qualified Plant Mechanic with proven experience in mobile plant maintenance
  • Must have experience maintaining WA1200 and EWL 1850-3 Loaders.
  • Strong technical understanding of Komatsu equipment design and function
  • Proficient in machine diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance procedures
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing
  • Competent with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Komatsu software such as Merchant, Link One, and SMAP
  • Commitment to delivering high-quality customer service with a safety-first mindset
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Demonstrated initiative and a continuous improvement mindset
