The Opportunity:
Looking for a fresh start or a lifestyle change? This is a fantastic opportunity to join Komatsu as a Field Service Technician in Mount Isa, one of Australia’s most important mining regions. The city is growing, diversifying, and investing heavily in infrastructure creating a strong pipeline of work and long‑term stability for skilled tradespeople.
Working a 7:7 day‑shift roster (12‑hour days, Tuesday to Monday), you’ll carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Komatsu equipment. You’ll work independently in the field, supported by a national network of technical experts, parts supply, and training resources.

Roster: 7:7-day shift only — 12‑hour days, Tuesday to Monday
Annualised Wages: Earn up to - and over - $200,000 annually with allowances (living local), overtime, penalties and tool of trade vehicle included.
Role Located: Mount Isa, Cloncurry & surrounding areas

What we are looking for:
- Trade qualification as a Mobile Plant Technician / Diesel Fitter or equivalent
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings
- Understanding of local and mine‑specific HSE and industrial legislation
- Strong diagnostic skills, including onboard system analysis and troubleshooting
- Excellent communication skills and a customer‑focused approach
- Commitment to safety, compliance and mine‑site standards
- Ability to work independently under pressure while maintaining high‑quality standards
