The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Branch Manager to lead our Mt Thorley operation and drive the performance of our Parts, Service and Product Support teams.

This is a high-profile leadership position responsible for the overall operational, financial and customer performance of one of Komatsu Australia's key mining support branches.

Leading a team of approximately 10 direct reports and 120 indirect reports, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer support, developing people and driving profitable business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Parts, Service and Product Support functions to deliver safe, efficient and profitable operations.
  • Develop and execute branch business plans focused on growth, customer support and operational excellence.
  • Build strong relationships with mining customers through regular engagement and strategic partnership.
  • Drive a high-performance culture focused on safety, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Manage branch budgets, financial performance and profitability.
  • Lead initiatives that improve productivity, service quality, technician utilisation and customer outcomes.
  • Partner with operational leaders to optimise inventory management, parts availability and aftermarket performance.
  • Champion the Komatsu Customer Support Charter across all customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with company governance, safety and risk management requirements.

What we are looking for:

  • A proven operational leader who understands the importance of balancing customer success, people leadership and commercial performance.
  • A minimum of five years' combined experience across Parts and Service operations within mining, construction or heavy equipment industries.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing large operational teams.
  • Strong business and financial management capability.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer relationship skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
  • Experience leading aftermarket operations and driving continuous improvement.
  • Diploma in Management or similar qualification highly regarded.
