The Opportunity:
Join Komatsu as a HD – Fitter and play a key role in keeping our customers moving. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a range of construction and utility equipment, ensuring performance, reliability and uptime.
This is a workshop based, hands-on role where your technical skills will make a real impact on-site and in the workshop.
You will also be required to travel to customer site for breakdowns and repairs. This role will semi-frequently travel to the Bowen Basin. There is a shared vehicle for travel to customer site.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Diagnose, repair and maintain Komatsu equipment to OEM standards.
- Perform preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs.
- Analyse onboard systems and fault-find technical issues.
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately.
- Work closely with supervisors, customers and site teams.
- Support planning of maintenance schedules and workloads.
- Always maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance.
Roster: 7 days on, 7 days off – Wednesday to Tuesday – day shift only
Annualised Wages: Annualised salary - $118,000 - $144,000 base + super + tool allowance + shared vehicle

What we are looking for:
- Trade qualification (Diesel Fitter or similar).
- Experience working on heavy equipment or mobile plant.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude.
- Current driver’s licence.
