The Opportunity:
Join Komatsu as a Technical Service Representative and play a pivotal role in maximising equipment availability, reliability and productivity across our Mechanical Wheel Loader fleet. You'll work closely with Service Technicians, customers and factory representatives to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to future product enhancements. This is an exciting opportunity to combine your technical expertise, problem-solving skills and stakeholder engagement capabilities to make a real impact on customer success and equipment performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Service Technicians to resolve technical issues and improve equipment performance.
- Investigate major machine reliability concerns and prepare technical reports.
- Liaise with internal teams and factory representatives to drive product improvements.
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects and reliability initiatives.
- Prepare and submit technical documentation for product issues and warranty support.
Role Located: Mackay / Customer Mine Site
Roster: 5 days on 2 days off, 38 hours per week
What we are looking for:
- Relevant Heavy Equipment Trade or Engineering Qualification
- Current Drivers License
- High degree of mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Hold a broad-based knowledge/working experience on Komatsu equipment.
- Must have working knowledge local and mine specific, OH&S and industrial legislation.
- Ability to analyse / troubleshoot complicated hydraulic, mechanical and electrical technical problems and provide solutions.
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical drawings.
- An understanding of maintenance targets including availability, reliability, parts management and component life cycle management.
- Well-developed written and oral skills including use of Microsoft Office.
