The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified Field Service Technician to join our Customer Support team in Kalgoorlie, delivering expert maintenance, diagnostics and repair services across a range of mining and construction equipment.

 

As a Field Service Technician, you'll be responsible for providing high-quality maintenance, diagnostic and repair services on Komatsu equipment at customer sites throughout the region.

 

This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical expertise, a commitment to safety, and a customer-focused approach.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults 
  • Perform scheduled servicing, maintenance and component replacements 
  • Conduct testing and adjustments on machine operating and monitoring systems 
  • Complete accurate service documentation and technical reports 
  • Coordinate and support site-based maintenance activities 
  • Provide exceptional customer service and technical support 
  • Work closely with customers and internal teams to ensure equipment reliability and uptime 
  • Maintain the highest standards of safety, quality and workmanship

 

 

Potential Annual Earnings: $234,000 

Roster: FIFO 2:1 ex Perth 

Role Located: Sunrise Dam - Must be currently living in Perth to be considered for the role. 

 

What we are looking for

  • Trade qualification as a Plant Mechanic or equivalent heavy diesel qualification 
  • Experience servicing and repairing mobile mining, construction or heavy equipment 
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills 
  • A commitment to working safely in a field service environment 
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities 
  • Strong communication and customer relationship skills 
  • Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications 
  • Minimum MR Driver's Licence 
  • High Risk Work Licence (desirable)
