The Opportunity
Join Komatsu as a Production Manager – Electrical and take charge of our busy Hemmant Workshop in Brisbane. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll manage daily production operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency across electrical remanufacturing and exchange work.
We’re looking for a proven people leader with strong experience managing blue-collar teams in a workshop, manufacturing, or heavy industry environment. You’ll be passionate about safety, performance, and developing your team to deliver results.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading and developing a team of trade-qualified and production employees.
- Ensuring compliance with HSE legislation and Komatsu standards.
- Planning workloads, resources, and schedules to meet operational demand.
- Driving improvements in productivity, quality, 5S, and cost performance.
- Conducting root cause analysis and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Building a positive, respectful, and high-performing team culture.
What you'll bring:
- Demonstrated blue-collar people management experience (essential).
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a hands-on approach.
- Electrical trade or engineering background (advantageous).
- Proven ability to deliver on safety, quality, and performance KPIs.
- Committed to continuous improvement and team development.
