We’re on the lookout for a proactive and driven AHS Site Supervisor to join our team at the Goonyella site. In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the forefront of autonomous haulage system (AHS) operations—planning daily work schedules, driving team performance, and ensuring compliance with all statutory, company, and customer standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Empower and Elevate the Team: Continuously develop your team’s capabilities in AHS system troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair workflows—ensuring technical excellence and confidence on the ground.
  • Drive Innovation in the Field: Lead the delivery of AHS system updates and upgrades across customer operations, keeping our technology at the cutting edge.
  • Champion a Safety-First Culture: Foster a proactive safety mindset and ensure strict adherence to all safe work practices and procedures.
  • Collaborate for Peak Performance: Work closely with customer teams—including Maintenance, Production, and Engineering—to align on KPIs and maximise AHS system performance.
  • Lead Continuous Improvement: Promote and drive AHS continuous improvement initiatives that enhance system reliability and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and Optimise Performance: Review monthly equipment performance against KPIs and contribute to action plans that address any gaps or underperformance.
  • Deliver Exceptional Support: Uphold the value of AHS Site Support by ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and operational reliability.
  • Be the Go-To Expert: Act as the escalation point for both internal and external stakeholders, providing guidance and resolution when it matters most.
  • Elevate Reporting Standards: Ensure reporting is accurate, insightful, and continuously evolving to meet the needs of the business and our customers.

What You’ll Bring to the Role

What You’ll Bring to the Role

  • Technical Expertise: 4+ years maintaining Komatsu Electric Drive Haul Trucks  + years in AHS operations (Central Controller or Pit Patroller).
  • Leadership & Qualifications: Post-trade technical or leadership credentials with proven project supervision and team coordination experience.
  • Safety & Compliance: Strong background in Safety Management Systems and proactive risk management.
  • Communication & Customer Focus: Skilled in producing clear documentation and delivering high-quality customer service.
  • Systems & Equipment Knowledge: Familiarity with mining equipment, database operations, and Quality Maintenance Control Systems.
  • Desirable Extras: Trainer & Assessor or HSE qualifications.
