The Opportunity
This role is a permanent full-time opportunity based in either our Gladstone, Mackay or Emerald branch to support client sites in the Bowen Basin – Key focus product lines Hydraulic Excavators and Bulldozers.
Key Responsibilites:
- Look at ways to maximise Komatsu equipment’s availability, reliability and productivityProviding technical support, diagnostics and troubleshooting for Komatsu fleet
- Reporting on regular machine issues
- Creating detailed technical documentation and providing recommendations/resolutions for equipment performance issues
Role Located: Gladstone/Mackay/Emerald supporting various Bowen Basin Sites
Shift: Monday-Friday roster based on 38 hour working week
Remuneration: Approximate salary of $160,000 per year, plus fleet vehicle, bonus and paid accommodation.

What we are looking for:
- Trade certificate - Relevant Heavy Equipment Trade or Engineering Qualification
- Hold a broad-based knowledge/working experience on Komatsu equipment.
- Experience working as a Field Service Technician is preferred with exposure to breakdown, repairs and diagnostics
- Previous experience working in a mine-site is preferred
- Ability to read and understand hydraulic and electrical drawings.
- An understanding of maintenance targets including availability, reliability, parts management and component life cycle management.
- Ability to analyse / troubleshoot complicated hydraulic, mechanical and electrical technical problems and provide solutions.
- Current driver's licence
- Good understanding of computer systems and Microsoft Office
- Ability to work unsupervised.
