Komatsu is seeking a skilled HV Electrician to join our high-performing Customer Support team. In this role, you’ll deliver expert maintenance and technical support on our industry-leading equipment while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction are at the forefront.
You’ll play a key role in maintaining and troubleshooting Komatsu machinery, minimising downtime and delivering high-quality service to our customers across the Central Queensland region.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on Komatsu equipment.
- Analyse onboard systems and troubleshoot faults.
- Complete detailed service reports (complaint, cause, correction).
- Work closely with internal teams to plan and execute maintenance.
- Maintain strong safety standards and compliance.
Role Located: Dawson Mine Site
Roster: 7:7 day and 7:7 night (Wed to Tues)
What we are looking for
- Trade qualification as an Electrical Fitter / HV Electrician with current licence.
- Current Switch Licence.
- Current driver’s licence.
- Proven experience in HV electrical maintenance (ideally on mining equipment).
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Commitment to safety and working in high-risk environments.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Desirable
- Experience with Komatsu equipment or electric drive trucks.
- Exposure to mining or heavy industry environments.
You will be required to obtain a coal board medical and S11 certification.
