The Opportunity

As a Field Service Technician, you will provide skilful and efficient maintenance and repair of Komatsu Customer Equipment and through your efforts, contribute to a professional team environment by ensuring high levels of safety, quality and efficiency for the Komatsu Field Service Department. You will be required to travel to customer sites predominately across Newcastle and the Hunter Region to provide competent and efficient service, maintenance, and repair of Komatsu customer equipment.

 

This role will work semi-autonomous and will have to manage and take responsibility for their workload and scheduling of jobs.

 

Roster: Monday - Friday between 7:00am – 3.06pm and regular overtime will be available.

 

Location: Gippsland Branch - servicing Newcastle and Hunter region

About you:

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about delivering great customer service and being a supportive part of the Komatsu Australia team. You’ll bring a strong commitment to safety, take pride in your work, and be comfortable working on your own or with others. Good organisational and people skills are important, along with clear communication - both written and verbal. You should also be confident using computer systems, including Microsoft Office.

What you'll bring:

  • Significant experience in the service or repair of Mobile Plant Equipment
  • Trade certificate or qualification in Heavy Commercial Vehicle OR Mobile Plant Technology (essential)
  • Previous experience with Komatsu equipment would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills for both Internal and External customers
  • An excellent understanding and commitment to safety and environment
  • Ability to work remotely and with minimal Supervision.
  • Intermediate computer knowledge/skills
