At Komatsu, strong financial discipline underpins everything we do. We’re looking for a technically outstanding Senior Financial Accountant to join our high-performing Finance team in Fairfield.

The Role

You will be a key guardian of financial integrity across Komatsu ANZ, New Caledonia and PNG — ensuring reporting is accurate, compliant and delivered to a high standard, every time.

This is a hands-on technical role with visibility and influence across the business.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Monthly consolidated reporting (fast, accurate, dependable).
• Annual statutory accounts and disclosures.
• External audit coordination.
• Budgeting, forecasting and 3-year CAPEX planning.
• FX revaluations and multi-currency management.
• Lease accounting (IFRS 16).
• Fixed asset governance and integrity.
• Oversight across SAP, ECCS, CaseWare, D365 and LeaseInfo.

About You

You’ll be successful if you:

• Bring strong technical accounting expertise (Big 4 or mid-tier background highly regarded).
• Have experience in multi-entity, multi-currency environments.
• Are a confident Excel and SAP user.
• Deliver under tight deadlines (including a 2–3 day month-end close).
• Balance attention to detail with commercial awareness.

Qualifications:

• Accounting or Finance degree
• CA or CPA qualified (CA preferred)
