Expediting Specialist
About Us
At Komatsu Australia you’ll be part of an inclusive culture where all our people thrive, reflected in our purpose: creating value together. We encourage people with diverse backgrounds to apply for this role.
The Opportunity
Behind every urgent parts delivery is someone making sure the right part gets to the right place; fast.
We’re looking for an organised, customer-focused Expediting Specialist to join Komatsu’s National Parts team in Fairfield in this permanent opportunity. This is a fast-paced coordination role where you’ll take ownership of urgent machine-down and emergency parts orders, working across our branches, distribution centres, freight providers and overseas suppliers to keep orders moving and customers informed.
What you'll be doing
You’ll be the person who tracks it, chases it and sees it through. Your work will have a direct impact on customer satisfaction and helping keep Komatsu equipment operating in the field.
Your role will involve:
- Coordinating and expediting urgent and emergency parts orders.
- Tracking orders and shipments through to delivery.
- Working closely with branches, distribution centres, freight providers and overseas suppliers.
- Providing accurate and timely delivery updates.
- Troubleshooting delays and finding solutions when things don't go to plan.
- Managing multiple priorities while keeping customers and stakeholders informed.
- Taking ownership of requests and following them through to completion.
About you
You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you’ll need to be someone who takes ownership, stays calm under pressure and enjoys solving problems.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
- Have experience in Parts, Logistics, Procurement, Customer Support or Supply Chain.
- Are highly organised and comfortable juggling competing priorities.
- Have strong attention to detail.
- Communicate confidently with a range of stakeholders.
- Are naturally customer-focused and enjoy delivering great service.
- Can think on your feet when priorities change or problems arise.
- Don't like leaving things half-finished; you enjoy seeing a task through to the end.
