Engineer - Production

The Opportunity:

As our Production Engineer – PDI, you’ll lead engineering and improvement projects across new machine builds, attachments, fittings and assembly processes.

You’ll drive cycle‑time reduction, layout optimisation, tooling upgrades, quality improvements and workflow standardisation to support Komatsu’s growth. This role is central to delivering efficiency, consistency and OEM‑level build quality across the Fairfield PDI operation.

Role Located: Fairfield, NSW

What we are looking for:

• Mechanical Engineering background with experience in production or manufacturing environments
• Demonstrated capability in process improvement, tooling design, FTA/RCA and quality systems
• Ability to optimise assembly flow, sub‑assembly processes and workshop layouts
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and technical reporting skills
• Experience with production control systems and engineering data management
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quality tools
• Passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence
