The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Officer based in corporate head office in Fairfield. The Accounts Payable Officer will be responsible for the accurate processing of data and prompt payments to suppliers in accordance with the company policies and procedures and working in a fast paced, high-volume role.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and update, in line with good practice, the Komatsu Group’s internal control environment and ensure all payments and approvals are in line with current policy
- Ensure the timely and accurate scanning, processing and payment of all relevant supplier invoices and employee expenses, including general ledger account assignment.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of all suppliers’ statement reconciliations and make necessary actions and adjustments
- Ensure accuracy of scanned and validated data and all paperwork is scanned and attached accordingly
- Ensure the backup process is working effectively and efficiently
- Build strong supplier relationships
- Ensure any issues or discrepancies are resolved in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure the related master data accuracy within the accounts payable department, including but not limited to:- vendor accounts, expense system, phone bill system
- Ensure the scanning system is working accurately at all times, making necessary actions and adjustments as required
What we are looking for:
- 3 - 5 years Accounts Payable experience
- Proficient knowledge and extensive experience in the SAP system (essential)
- Previous experience working with Microsoft Dynamics (desirable)
- Strong understanding of the accounts payable basics
- Demonstrated experience in a Shared Service environment in a large organisation
- Demonstrated interpersonal skills along with a proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
- Ability to work under pressure, assign priorities and assume responsibility for timely and effective completion of tasks
- Very good problem-solving skills. Be able to logically analyse matters and resolve discrepancies
- Ability to work in a high volume of data environment
- Good reconciliation skills using Excel
- Attention to details and speed & accuracy in data entry
- Very good communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Demonstrated understanding and commitment to Komatsu Australia’s organisational values
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural environment and respond positively to changes
- Demonstrated ability to work with a minimum supervision
- Demonstrated experience in scanning system environment
- A team player, with a commitment to assist others when require
