The Opportunity
Komatsu is currently seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our Fairfield branch. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly of Komatsu OEM machinery across utility, construction and mining product lines. Your work will include base assembly, installation of customer-specified local options, and performance testing to ensure every machine meets both Komatsu’s standards and our customers’ requirements.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Completing high-quality electrical work in line with Komatsu’s quality standards
- Assembling machinery and fitting customer-specified options in accordance with SWP installation guides
- Meeting production deadlines and daily/weekly targets
- Accurately completing timesheets and all required documentation on time
- Following direction from Leading Hands, Supervisors, and the Production Manager
- Supporting a productive, respectful, team-focused work environment
- Ensuring a workplace free from bullying, harassment, and discrimination
- Upholding Komatsu’s core values in your daily work
What you'll bring:
- Basic computer literacy
- Previous experience working with utility, construction, or mining machinery
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments
- An understanding of customer expectations and the ability to support delivery of high-quality outcomes
- Ability to pass a full pre-employment medical and participate in random drug testing
Mandatory requirements:
- Relevant Auto Electrical Trade Qualification.
- Hold full Driver’s Licence(s) as per state and Work Cover requirements.
- Hold/Ability to obtain relevant licences (Forklift / Overhead gantry etc)
- Hold/Ability to obtain a current First Aid certificate – desirable
