Technician - Service Remarketing
About Us
At Komatsu Australia you’ll be part of an inclusive culture where all our people thrive, reflected in our purpose: creating value together. We encourage people with diverse backgrounds to apply for this role.
The Opportunity
If you’re a qualified Diesel Mechanic / Heavy Equipment Technician who enjoys fault finding, rebuilding machinery and taking pride in seeing a job through from start to finish, we want to hear from you.
Komatsu is looking for an experienced Technician – Remarketing Service to join our Campbellfield team. You’ll work across used Komatsu and other heavy equipment, carrying out diagnostics, repairs, servicing, maintenance and machine preparation to get equipment ready for its next chapter.
This is a role for a tradie who likes variety, technical problem-solving and owning their jobs—not doing the same service over and over again.
What You’ll Be Doing
Working alongside our Leading Hand and wider Remarketing team, you’ll:
- Diagnose faults and carry out repairs across heavy earthmoving equipment.
- Test and adjust machine operating and monitoring systems.
- Complete servicing, maintenance and repairs on used machinery.
- Support used equipment appraisals and identify required repairs.
- Get involved in major equipment maintenance and rebuild projects.
- Manage your jobs against agreed scope, critical paths and deadlines.
- Coordinate parts and subcontractor requirements where needed.
- Complete accurate service and technical reporting.
- Work with systems including Dynamics, LinkOne, SMAP and Komserv.
- Share your technical knowledge and support the development of less experienced technicians.
- Contribute ideas that improve safety, efficiency and workshop practices while maintaining strong 5S standards.
Roster: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Pay: Great rates + Allowance + RDOs
What we are looking for
You’re a capable tradie who can be trusted to get stuck into a job, work through the problem and deliver quality work.
You’ll bring:
- A relevant trade qualification, ideally Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
- Around 5+ years' trade experience.
- Strong heavy equipment and earthmoving machinery knowledge.
- Solid machine diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience managing repairs from diagnosis through to completion.
- Confidence working with parts, subcontractors and job deadlines.
- A strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Good communication and computer skills.
- Relevant licences and tickets.
Experience on Komatsu equipment will be highly regarded, but if you’ve built strong technical capability working on other heavy earthmoving equipment, we’d still like to hear from you.
