The Opportunity

Komatsu has an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrician to join our Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Team in Campbellfield.

Working on the latest construction and mining equipment, you'll be responsible for installing, wiring, testing and commissioning electrical systems while also assisting with the complete assembly of customer machines. Every build is different, giving you the opportunity to work on a wide variety of equipment and technologies.

You'll work alongside experienced technicians in a supportive team environment where quality workmanship, safety and continuous improvement are valued every day.

What You'll Be Doing

As part of our PDI team, you will:

• Install, test and commission electrical and electronic systems including wiring harnesses, sensors, control systems and customer-specific options.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Perform functional testing of electrical systems including lighting, gauges, alarms, ECMs, battery and charging systems.
• Diagnose and rectify electrical faults during machine assembly and commissioning.
• Assist with complete machine assembly, fitment of customer accessories and final machine preparation for delivery.
• Complete PDI inspections, commissioning documentation and quality checklists while identifying and reporting any non-conformances.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with Komatsu Safe Work Procedures, installation guides and quality standards.
• Work collaboratively with Leading Hands, Supervisors and fellow technicians to achieve production schedules and deliver exceptional customer outcomes.
• Contribute to a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement, safety and quality.

What we are looking for

We're looking for a motivated and safety-focused Electrician who takes pride in producing high-quality work and enjoys working in a team environment.

You'll ideally have:

• Electrical Trade Qualification.
• Experience working on heavy equipment, construction, mining, agricultural, transport, automotive or industrial machinery.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to confidently read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
• A strong commitment to safety, quality and following standard work procedures.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
• Good computer literacy and accurate completion of service documentation.
• Current Driver's Licence.
