As a Field Service Diesel Fitter based in Cairns, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy equipment in the field. Using your technical expertise and problem-solving skills, you'll deliver safe, high-quality outcomes for our customers while helping maximise equipment performance and availability.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on heavy equipment.
  • Troubleshoot faults to maximise equipment reliability and uptime.
  • Provide technical support and practical solutions to customers.
  • Complete detailed service reports, including fault diagnosis and repairs.
  • Analyse machine data and onboard computer system downloads.
  • Plan and coordinate maintenance activities with internal stakeholders.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to safety and report hazards or incidents.
  • Build positive customer relationships and deliver exceptional service.
  • Ensure accurate completion of timesheets and service documentation.
  • Support branch operations and assist team members as required.

Roster: 5:2 roster, 40 hour week, primarily day shifts 

 

Annualised Wages: Competitive Salary + Tool of Trade Vehicle + Overtime + Field Service Allowance

 

Role Located:  Cairns

 

 

What We’re Looking For:

 

  • Mobile plant trade certificate or equivalent
  • Proven experience repairing and maintaining equipment
  • Strong relationship-building skills, both internally and externally
  • Ability to work unsupervised and autonomously
  • Excellent problem solving and communication skills
  • Commitment to safety and ability to work in remote areas
