The Opportunity
In our North East Region, we’re seeking a passionate and proactive HSE Advisor to join our Brisbane team. This role supports the Regional HSE Manager in driving our commitment to health, safety, environment, sustainability, rehabilitation, and training across our Queensland and Hunter Valley sites. This role is not zoned to one site but is cross-functional across multiple sites throughout the region, as required, offering a dynamic and varied scope of work. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong HSE experience who thrives in a collaborative environment and is committed to continuous improvement and safety excellence.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the implementation and improvement of regional HSE strategies and plans.
- Conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, site inspections, and audits.
- Facilitating HSE training, inductions, and committee meetings.
- Assisting with monthly reporting, chemical management, and compliance with KomSAFE systems.
- Contributing to ISO45001 and ISO14001 accreditation.
- Facilitating random drug and alcohol program.
- Preparing HSE communications including bulletins and alerts.
- Supporting workers compensation and rehabilitation programs.
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in workplace health and safety.
- Cert IV or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety (or working towards).
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Experience in HSE auditing, claims management, and training delivery.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and ChemWatch systems.
